9:30 AM – Rooney to Meet with Representatives of the Agricultural and Natural Resources Advisory Committee
WHAT: Congressman Rooney will discuss federal farm policy, the 2012 Farm Bill, and his role as Chairman of the House Agriculture Subcommittee on Livestock, Dairy and Poultry.

11:30 AM – Rooney to Speak at Rededication of the Military Order of the Purple Heart Monument
WHAT: Congressman Rooney will speak at a ceremony to rededicate the Purple Heart Monument at Laishley Park.

Following the ceremony, Congressman Rooney will attend a reception at American Legion Post 110 Legion, 3152 Harbor Boulevard, Port Charlotte.
2:00 PM – Rooney to Host Business Roundtable
WHAT: Congressman Rooney will host a roundtable with local business leaders to discuss his plan to create an environment where the private sector can grow and hire new workers.

4:00 PM – Rooney to Visit Charlotte County Veterans Service Center
WHAT: Congressman Rooney will visit the Charlotte County Veterans Service Center. Rooney’s office works with the Veterans Service Officer to help local veterans receive their VA benefits.
